BB King

We had a GREAT time at the B B King concert last Saturday. The girls all thought he was great. The opening act was - how can I say this politely - a 60 year old hippie chick with long white hair down to her waist - that still thought we wanted to hear her views of the world which haven't changed much since the 60's! I thought she looked and sounded like a cross between Grandmother Willow (from Pocahontas) and Yoko Ono. Scary! Good for a laugh, though. There were two other "ladies" that got our attention that night. They were seated (and I do mean seated) in our row. Sarah needed a bathroom break at intermission. Katie followed her out as did I. These two ladies wouldn't get up and let Sarah pass. They had her just wiggle between their knees and the seat in front. Oh, no, don't even bother to try and move your legs to the side - that would make it less challenging! Well then they wouldn't move for Katie either!
I came along behind - not realizing what had happened (making sure Em didn't need to come with us). I politely asked the ladies to let me pass. I got the same story line of squeezing past. I said "thanks for the compliment, but I'm not as thin as my daughters!" They still refused to budge. So I went on through. Needless to say the same thing happened on the way back. I told them that I was concerned I would fall on the people in the next row - and apparently as I got passed them one of these "ladies" muttered - "then you shouldn't get out of your seat". I could understand if we were doing this in the middle of the set - but it was intermission! My lovely daughters exacted a little revenge. Katie stepped on their feet and Sarah made sure to pass them with her backside facing them. Good lesson learned on concert etiquette!
The trip to see Dad & Gabi was postponed due to ice on Friday. The kids had the day off from school. So in the afternoon we all had a tea party to celebrate.
Gabi went in on Monday to get a double round of chemo - but her blood count was bad again. So she had to have a transfusion. They were only able to do a single dose of chemo this week. She was having trouble breathing so they took xrays. She was feeling much better when I talked to her today. Sounded like she had much more energy since Monday. They haven't gotten the results on the xrays - so she is assuming that it wasn't anything serious. Let's hope!
Time for Mom's taxi to start the afternoon runs! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Well I am glad the girls were able to get a little bit of revenge on the rude women. Too bad they didn't have drinks they could have 'accidentally' spilled a little bit.

I hope when her butt was facing them she had a little more revenge for them or is that more of a "boy" thing:)
