Happy New Year!

My Wish for You in 2009

May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words . . .. May 2009 be the best year of your life!!!

Merry Christmas!

This has been a very busy year for all of us and sometimes it's hard to remember to take the time to enjoy the little things in our lives. Megan and I were coming home the other afternoon and it was a really cloudy and cold day. The sun's rays came through the clouds in one of those beautiful sunburst pattern that lit up the woods we were driving by. Suddenly the traffic in front of us slowed down to a crawl. There were three deer crossing the road right by us. They were beautiful. It was just a peaceful moment in a hectic day that reminded us to slow down and enjoy our lives today. May you each find more peace in your days! Merry Christmas to all!

Makes you think....

Play on Words; Logic and Meanings

Only in America ......do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Only in America .....do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.

Only in America .....do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

Only in America .....do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.

Only in America......do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

Only in America .....do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

EVER WONDER ...Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?

Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?

Why don't you ever see the headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?

Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word?

Why is it that doctors call what they do 'practice'?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes?

Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!

Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

Thanks for your patience!

Still alive and well here. Sorry for such a long time between posts. Life has gotten even crazier than usual around here. I will post details another day (as I'm supposed to be working right now), but I have learned in the last month what a strong, caring and forgiving person Megan has become. There have been roadblocks put up in our path over the last month and it has done several positive things. It has tested and strengthened our faith and brought us even closer as a family. It has been great to see my children rally around and have each other's backs. On a happier note- we hosted my family for Thanksgiving this year and it was a great day. I, being the crazy fool I am, went to work with Katie and Zane Thanksgiving night at 8:30pm. Polo opened at 10pm for the Black Friday. We worked until 6am. I only slept till around 1pm because I didn't want to throw myself too far off schedule. Should have just slept because I wasn't worth poop for the day. It was like being hung over but without the fun of getting drunk! I'm about to hit the end of year stuff for work and feel like I am forgetting something. Of course, I've never done end of year - so I probably AM forgetting something. Trying not to stress about Xmas, but not doing a very good job. I'm usually just about finished shopping by now and just started this weekend. I made the executive decision to only put the small lighted tree on the porch, the snowman and lighted boxes up as decorations outside this year. I usually do lights all over the trees and bushes, too. Decided to scale down and hope that we get something besides the tree up inside. Well, tree is up but nothing else. Maybe one room tonight....wish me luck. Thanks for hanging in there waiting for me to get back to posting. I'll try and do better but then again, I can't do much worse! LOL!
