Kelly's coming!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Can't wait for this weekend! Kelly, Michelle & Rachel are coming up for the long weekend! Just what this house needs - more hormones -sorry, David! John & Stephen are going to stay home and "watch football". Sounds like another chick flick and munchies weekend! See - I may chase my friends out of the state (and the country) but they know Hotel Hull is always open!

Sleepless

Woke up around 4am and couldn't fall back asleep this morning. Usually that would bug me - but as there was a lunar eclipse about to happen it was okay. This was the view from my bedroom window. Can't really see it but the moon turned a light orange color. Very pretty. There was a high spot in the day yesterday - East's freshman football team beat North's (yes, still the cross town games!) in overtime last night.

Pretty girls

Yesterday was Lauran's bridal shower. Kate, Meg, Gabi and I clean up pretty well, don't ya think?? That's Lauran (in blue) & her best bud, Laura. They look so prim and proper - ha! ha! The last picture is kind of an "after party" at our house. You can't see her, but Susie is there, too. She came over after the shower to say hi to her dad. Sarah's Godfather, Jeff, (on the loveseat with Gabi) joined in just before he and David left to go the the Rush concert. Yes, I graciously gave up my seat so David could take Jeff....David told me that I probably made a good choice as they didn't really play much of the "old stuff" which is what I would have wanted to hear. That's about it from here!

Windfall

We had a WONDERFUL day at Windfall with Papa & Gabi Saturday. Rained like crazy on the way up - but it stopped right as we arrived. The lake was nice and warm. Megan did a great job piloting the boat around the lake! Sarah & Emily took a turn, too (with just a little help from Papa). Emily & Sarah spent most of the day in the lake. They only needed mom to rescue them once each when they got out too far into the "hairy" part of the lake. What a wonderful and relaxing day! Think I need to get me one of them lakehouses!! Happy Birthdays to Kevin and Logan!

Waaaa!

So we ended up losing the game last night. What a bummer! It was over 100 degree heat index - which didn't help things any! The other team did well at managing their players in the heat. Our team seemed to forget the rule of hydrating the players - - as our players kept cramping up. Oh well! Off to Windfall to see Papa and Gabi today - so at least we have a GREAT day planned. Think I'll go drown my sorrows in the lake (wth an adult beverage!).

GO EAST!!!!

Ok, so today is the big game! (Ok, it is a small town - so this is a BIG deal!) All we girls are decked out in our orange. Kate & Meg even had an orange and brown breakfast - a smoothie and a chocolate poptart (breakfast of champions!). Ok, so I maybe go a little overboard - but it's fun! The girls made sure they went to bed in orange last night - NO BLUE! We've even made sure that David has an orange shirt for tonight. This is Kate's senior year so she and her friends will be going all out with the body paint and tailgating. It's a home game - which makes it even better.
Lots of plans for the weekend. Why is it that everything seems to fall all on the same weekend? Tomorrow we are going to Windfall to see Papa & Gabi for the day. Sunday is Lauran's bridal shower in the afternoon and then the Rush concert at night. Poor David has to catch a 6:00am flight the next morning - yuck!
A word of thanks to Suzanne - who got me started on this "blogging" journey! I've had several friends that have decided to give it a try now, too! Together we'll get all the tricks figured out. Anybody else gonna join us??? Would love to know if you do!

OLYMPIAN PRIDE!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketTomorrow is the annual cross town rivalry game of East vs. North.
A crowd of about 7000 is expected to attend. East Olympians have won every year since Kate has gone there! We are hoping to continue this trend every year a Hull girl attends. This would mean about another ten years! GO EAST!!!!!!

Amazing!

This guy is amazing! Not the usual cheesy ventriloquist act! Impersonations are hard enough - then add the ventriloquism - truly talented! I'm really glad he won America's Got Talent. Cass Haley (he came in 2nd) will be going places, too!

Here Goes!

Ok - so I'm going to give this a try! Suzanne makes it look so easy. Guess I'll find out! I always enjoy checking in on friends and family when they do a blog. Hopefully I won't bore anybody with ours!
